About RPCR

The Research Program on Competition and Regulation (RPCR), based in the University of Calgary’s Department of Economics, advances research and informed dialogue on competition policy and regulation policy in Canada. RPCR emphasizes rigorous economic analysis as the foundation for effective regulation, focusing on economic efficiency, market design, and institutional performance. Through research, events, and engagement with policymakers, practitioners, and academics, RPCR contributes to stronger regulatory outcomes, evidence-based decision-making and offers high-quality, relevant training to students.
